When you meet someone in person that can become a new LinkedIn Connection, do you know how to Connect with them instantly? Fortunately, you can use your LinkedIn QR code as a handy little shortcut instead of exchanging contact details.
I have to say, I’m very fond of this feature. It acts like a business card on fire! Some time ago, LinkedIn users had the ‘Find me’ option, but I much prefer this method.
Here’s what I like about Connecting with a LinkedIn QR code:
People often ask me how to generate a LinkedIn QR code, so here goes …
Your LinkedIn QR code screen should have a few other options as well:
With this option, you can always send your code to someone you know, for example via WhatsApp, Facebook or email.
If you want to have your QR code at the ready without having to open your LinkedIn app every time, you can simply save it to your gallery and keep it handy for others to scan.
On the LinkedIn QR code screen, you can also toggle between your own code and the ‘Scan’ tab, so you can easily scan someone else’s if they have it at the ready! Alternatively, if they have shared theirs with you as an image, you can tap ‘Add code from gallery’ and select it from your image library.
Simple enough, right? What’s not to like! With the QR code feature, you’ll be able to make meaningful Connections on LinkedIn in no time.
What do you think? Will you be using your QR code to build your LinkedIn Connections? Let me know over on LinkedIn.
